Language support and translation services

The Language Support Project provides BME women with opportunities through interpretation, to extend their skills and knowledge, and gain new skills and experiences relevant to their lives, to enable them to understand their rights and to support them in seeking help from outside agencies that will improve the qualities of their lives.

Interpreters are self-employed, appointed to BAWSO's Register and are used according to the operational needs of BAWSO's services.

The languages we cover are:

Asian (Bengali/Sylheti, Gujerati, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and any other)

African (Bemba, kikango,Lingala, Somali, Swahili and any other

Middle Eastern (Arabic, Farsi, DeriĀ  and any other)

Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and any other)

European (Albanian, Czech, French, German, Greek, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Slovakian, Spanish, Turkish and any other)
