White Ribbon Day Campaign
White Ribbon Day is held on November 25 each year and is designated by the UN as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The White Ribbon is a symbol of hope for a world where women and girls can live free from the fear of violence. Wearing the ribbon is about challenging the acceptability of violence - by getting men involved, helping women to break the silence, and encouraging everyone to come together to build a better world for all.
To mark this day BAWSO has various events across Wales:
Light a Candle to Commemorate the International Day to End Violence Against Women
BAWSO and Welsh Women's Aid invite you to:"LIGHT A CANDLE" - A multi-faith service at Llandaff Cathedral to mark International Day to End Violence Against Women (White Ribbon Day), 25th November 2011.
PRE-EVENT MARCH:
From BAWSO office to Llandaff Cathedral - all welcome - assemble outside BAWSO (9 Cathedral Road, Pontcanna,Cardiff) at 10.00am
POST-EVENT LUNCH:
Event will be followed by a lunch at BAWSO to raise money for women with no recourse to public funds - all welcome!

9th Annual Networking Day Swansea
As part of White Ribbon campaign BAWSO will deliver a workshop on "working together to support victims of Trafficking" at the 9th Annual Networking Day organised by the Eastside Domestic Abuse Network in partnership with Swansea Domestic Abuse Forum. The event will take place on Thursday 24th November 2011 at the Scout and Guide Hut, Bryn Road Swansea.
